Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

Miss Rose finally got to start on her 4-H project.Bert, our true animal lover, was instantly head-over-heels.Baby Gater also loved the little chickies. We chose two Plymouth Rock (barred), three Buff Orpingtons, and four Araucanas.Araucanas lay pretty blue and green eggs.
All the little chickies in the house got lots of loves today. The little chicks are only newly hatched. Already, they know how to eat and how to peck each other.
I hope they survive. Do you think they feel nervous?
How about now?

All of the babies are so cute -- baby chickens, baby babies, whatever. :) They are adorable.

I miss you so much. Ready to hop on a plane again already.

cute chickies :)
wanted to stop by and wish you a happy birthday! I had noticed that your birthday was listed at the Cottage and wanted to leave you a note. Would love to see pics of your new homeschooling areas you posted about. Even though I only have 3 little ones and am homeschooling one, I understand the challenges of time management and keeping the little ones occupied while you work with the older ones :)....Love the pic on your title bar, btw. It is funny, but my favorite crochet hook was a Susan Bates that was the exact same color as the one you have in your pic, size H

Dear Moey,
It is wonderful to come across your blog. It has been a long time since I talked to you. I was Melissa on CMOMB...I cannot remember if my user name was GreekHoneybee over there or Melissa D. SC....lol...I came to your blog through Heidi on Habbuk3, she is a member of my Grief Support Group Comfort In Heaven. I loved the baby chick pictures and hope they all make it. I can be found on Xanga, http://www.xanga.com/MelissaDSC you have to sign in once but then my posts are open to anyone. I only blog once a month because life is just too busy. :) How is your Sister? I hope all is well with her as well!! God Bless, Melissa D. SC

We just got baby chicks three weeks ago. They are already college frats that stay up all night and sleep all day. :)

I just found your blog. Look forward to reading more! I just moved from the city to the country and we're trying to live a more simple life, so I really love blogs such as yours.
