The 9 girls are living happily in the backyard.
Rose and Joman faithfully cared for them, each day cleaning out their boxes and feeding and watering them while they lived in the house. Daddy and the older children constructed this area for the chickens to live outside.I don't know all their names or if they even all have names. Well, I know a couple of them have names. But I have some suggestions. How about, "Madonna," "Gwyneth," or "Perez Hilton?" (C0mmenter Tubs also suggested, "Barbara," "Whoopi," "Joy," "Elisabeth," and "Sherri." Good thought. I like it.)
Aah, but that may require the kind of education my children are not quite ready for yet.

You could add the names of the hosts of "The View" to the names but, then again, ohhh those poor chickens . . . cackle cackle cluck cluck
Oh, but it would be soooo perfect. Thanks for the great idea. I always say, "WHO wants to watch those ole biddies!" any time I catch glimpse of that show. Ugh! LOL
They grow up too fast. :P
Serious question: what will you do with the chooks in winter?
Hi Deb . . . we'll put them on an airplane so the whimpy flyers can migrate to South America . . .Actually, a light and/or heat lamp in the winter to keep them on summer hours so they continue to produce eggs into part of the winter. When it gets cold enough they will hold their energy but not producing eggs and snuggle together. Rose sees to it that these chickens are treated almost as well as family so I am sure they will get a heat lamp during normal daylight hours. Chickens really are an amazing design . . . we think it is great that the kids are able to experience this. See Ya . . . we miss you, Larry, and the kids more than you know.
