The kids organized a sports day with their friends on Saturday.
A soccer field was built, teams were organized, and everyone showed up ready to play. The kids designed their own team logos, and painted shirts and hats. I don't know all the games they played, but I do know that soccer and cornhole were part of the day's events, and more sports were played across the street.
Stats were kept carefully and filming was important.
Apart from the fact that they could have used a referee to defuse arguments on play calls and rules, they had a great time.

The pics are great--looks like the kids had a very exciting day! How impressive that they planned and executed it all by themselves...just wondering what the girl in the last photo was making?
Love you XO
drkr,
She made a little house out of sticks, etc . . . that's all. A time filler while the overly competitive boys got their work in. The teams were picked more on friendship levels versus athletic ability. As you could guess, the ones that had the most fun were the ones that came in last place. The last place teams had a lot of fun with our pet rabbit and a pet chicken (which was acting more like a pet dog then a chicken). The kids painted all of the soccer lines very straight and accurate. I would not have had that level of patience / accuracy at that age.
